St. Lucia Celebration – Swedish week 2021

The Lucia celebrations represent one of the foremost cultural traditions in Sweden, with their clear reference to life in the peasant communities of old: darkness and light, cold and warmth.
Proper closing of the Swedish week 2021 will be on 11 December at Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia – Millennium Business Lounge, which will ensure the celebration of the feast of St. Lucia.
Traditionally, the celebration will be accompanied by music, dancing, and delicious food to transport guests in a real Swedish festive atmosphere. Children from the Swedish school and students from Scandinavian Studies, Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, will have a very special appearance that will bring real festive joy.

The event will be held under strict access measures, in line with the current epidemic situation. For all participants who do not have a green certificate, with the support of our sponsor and member of Swecham – Synevo Bulgaria, will be provided a free opportunity for testing with a rapid antigen test to detect the presence of COVID-19 infection.
