Third edition of Swedish Week in Bulgaria!
On December 6, the Swedish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce (SweCham) starts the third Swedish week celebrations for Bulgaria dedicated to Swedish culture and business. Throughout the week, from 6 to 12 December, a number of cultural and business events will bring us closer to Sweden, although some of them only online. What to expect?

December 8, Wednesday, will be under the sign of the environment. You will have the opportunity to participate in two meaningful events.
“Challenges and opportunities for improving air quality”, a hybrid event organized by Clean Air Fund and United Partners in cooperation with ICCT, FIA, TRUE, Swedish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and “Sofia Green”. The event will take place in Sofia from 10:00 to 13:00, Hyatt Regency Sofia, Ball Hall. During the event:
- Data from the study “Low-emission zone in Sofia: Projected NOx and PM emissions benefits” will be presented. It examines the impacts of LEZ in Sofia on vehicular emissions of harmful air pollutants;
- Current challenges and possibilities for improving air quality will be discussed;
- Discussion on the questions asked by the guests will be held.
From 15:00 we will continue with an opening of a particularly topical issue in recent years – innovation and how it can happen in unison with the environmental friendliness and sustainable development of both business and nature. The event “Sustainability as a competitive edge – Stories from Swedish Businesses” will be online only and will aim entirely business partners of the Swedish-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. Each of them will be able to share and learn from others. Keynote speakers will be representatives of Scania and H&M.
A proper closing of the week on 11 December at Millennium hotel – Millennium Business Lounge, will ensure the celebration of the feast of St. Lucia. Traditionally, the celebration will be accompanied by music, dancing and delicious food to transport guests in a real Swedish festive atmosphere. Absolut. will take care of the good mood, providing a special cocktail bar.
All hybrid or live events during the Swedish Week 2021 will be held under strict access measures, in line with the current epidemic situation.
